There are certain places, things, people in the world that speak to us, make our soul sing, have the power to inspire us. For me there are many, but none compare to Paris. There is no one thing that makes this place touch me so deeply. It is the place itself, in its entirerty that casts its spell- The lights along the Seine at night, the glorious Pont Alexandre, the quaint Rue Saint-Honoré, the glistening gold signs on the facades of seemingly endless fashion houses, the ornate iron balconies and gates, the Medici fountain, of course, the splendor and genius of the Louvre, everything about LaDurée, the sight of the children sailing their boats in the pond at Jardin du Luxembourg, the sound of the bells from Notre Dame, bread from Polaine, the outdoor markets, the city's inescapable history, an energy that seemingly never sleeps,...and most of all the feeling you get just from being in this remarkable place, enveloped in beauty.
